Hickory Park & Rec’s Community Picnic, Music Fest and Food Drive

HICKORY – Hickory Parks and Recreation Department invites you to participate in the Second Annual “Community Picnic, Music Fest and Food Drive” on Saturday, May 22, 2010. This year’s event will be held at Stanford Park. Activities will begin at 11 am and will last until 2 pm. We are hoping to collect even more canned goods this year than last and your help with this event is greatly appreciated. The event is free to the public!

Jeff & Carol Anne Hartman will be performing from 1 pm. Carol Anne most recently won Hickory Rotary Club’s “Rotarian Idol” contest. Jeff has been performing with his wife and band for more than a decade across the country, exemplified by the latest album, “Better Live,” celebrating the decade with live, original tracks from Charlotte Bobcats Arena to The CoMMA. Both recently performed for Newton-Conover Auditorium’s “Music & Mud” festival and will headline entertainment for Hickory Community Theatre’s “Vacation Extravaganza.” For more information, please visit jshartman.com.
