Happy New Year!

For those of you new to our mailing list, welcome! Well, it was and continues to be a busy weekend. Special thanks to Hal Row and the folks of First Talk on 1290 WHKY Talk Radio for having us Friday morning. For those of you who woke up early enough to tune in, you got to hear raw, sleepy versions of “Laura” and “Grey” and got to know a little bit about ourselves and what we’re about. Hal took the opportunity to poke fun at Kevin, our bassist, who was missing in action, saying, “You’ve always got to have like the Keith Richards-kind of character.”

Wonderful turnout at Drips Coffee House later that night. They actually ran out of places for people to sit! Extra, extra special thanks for the very generous tips and purchasers of our first single, “Laura.” For the record, Drips was the smallest stage we’ve ever performed as members of any band! Despite some technical difficulties and two of us fighting the flu, we pulled it off with flying colors.

Many of you noticed Darrin, our drummer and flu victim, was missing in action on vocals. We had to cut all of his songs, and harmony, and try some new things. My flu symptoms caught up with me at the end of the third set and I almost couldn’t finish. It made for an interesting evening. We’re all taking a week off to get healthy!

We’ll be returning to Drips on Thursday, March 22 at 8 pm. We can’t express enough our appreciation for the incredible support from family, friends and fans. You all know who you are. It’s tear-jerking. There are a couple of articles about sjB in the Hickory Weekend Extra and The Focus. I think you have until next Thursday to pick up a copy. That’s all for now. Please forward to friends, family, and/or enemies. Thank you, Carol Anne, Jeff, Darrin, Kevin
