A fundraiser for Central Carolina Liver Association. Sunday, November 16 from 2 pm to 11 pm at the Double Door, 218 E. Independence Blvd., Charlotte, NC, doubledoorinn.com. Contributing Artists include Scott Seville, Loose Change, Lenny Federal and Bobby Donaldson, Rusty Barkley and Mike Federal, Steve Hecht, Willie Evans Trio, Mama Said, Chris Cook, Charlie Atwell Group, Robin Rogers and her Hot Band, Contagious, Scott Jeffrey’s Band, John Alexander Trio, Abe Reid and the Spikedrivers and Delancey Street Band. All proceeds go to CCLA, a non-profit organization which gives hope and support to those with liver disease. This event is particularly special for me for two reasons. I’m a carrier of Gilbert’s Syndrome. Gilbert’s Syndrome is a fairly common, mild liver disorder. More information about this genetic liver disease and others is available online by visiting the American Liver Foundation at liverfoundation.org.
